NAIL THE FIRST PICTURE
1. Take the Shot
- Make sure your item is clean, blemish- and wrinkle-free
- Don't forget to check that the lighting is even
- Choose between a STRAIGHT-ON or FLAT LAY angle (use perspective only for 3D objects requiring it to look their best)
2. Send It to Us
If you don't feel confident with picture editing, there is an easy solution:
- Take your pictures as explained in step 1
- Simply send them to us, we will do the rest!
If you are a digital retouching wizard already, please follow the next steps:
3. Edit your picture
- Use a background remover (like Adobe’s free tool) to delete the natural background
- Set the new background to white or a primary colour
4. Resize
Because the first image will be displayed in both Portrait and Landscape mode on the website.
To ensure your first image looks good in both modes:
- Create a 1500 x 2000 px canvas (portrait).
- Place your product image in the centre, not too close to the edges or too small.
- Once you're happy, expand the canvas size to 2600 x 2000 px (landscape), keep the product centred.
